I’m not sure how I managed to get dressed before I owned my free standing floor mirror. Not being able to see your entire body when choosing an outfit for work can be very difficult. Now I can see an outfit just as well as when I’m in a dressing room of a clothing store. My full length mirror was definitely one of my most useful purchases.
You may think that a free standing floor mirror will take up too much valuable bedroom space, but I’ve found that positioning mine in an empty corner to be a great use of space. If you enjoy antiques, take a look through some estate sales or antique stores and you will be sure to find a floor mirror that you will enjoy having in your home. Home stores and online retailers also carry free standing mirrors to match anything from a contemporary style to kids room decor.
Some extra benefits of having a large mirror in a rooms is that it will make the room appear larger and, if placed near a light source, the mirror will brighten up the room. Position the mirror so that it will reflect the natural light from a window to bring in additional sunshine during the day. You could also experiment with free standing floor mirrors in other rooms of your house. Try your first floor mirror out in the living room or in a den or study to see if you may want to invest in a second one for that room. You may soon find that you love these large mirrors as much as I do.
