You want to give your child’s room a “Tink” design. The importance should be on the fact that this is a phase for the child. Eventually, children lose this liking and go on to better things. You should also try to keep in mind not to put any permanent Tink fixtures in the room.
Start by putting paint to work for you. There is no need to paint the entire room but rather simple things like border or stenciled pattern can go a long way. This is where the paint works for you and not the other way around.
Painting just two walls will accent other features in the room. The two walls opposite the door are the best to paint because they are the first items seen from the door. For a Tink or any other “Princess” motif, choose light pink or light green paint.
After the paint is dry put curtain rods up close to the ceiling on the two walls left unpainted. The rods should be straight ones with knobs on each end. From the rods hang curtain clips.
While choosing your Tinker Bell bedding, keep in mind how often you change the bed sheets. Most stores carry a complete package for the bed. This is an excellent choice, but you will also need additional sheets and pillow cases. Buy an extra comforter or flat sheet with Tink on it to hang from the curtain rods. Doing this with bedding allows for a visual impact and easy cleaning or changing of the room. So by now, you should be looking at Tink on two walls and paint on the other two.
With the bed made up and the walls adorned with her likeness, there will be no
mistaking this Tinker Bell room. A few other accents like a fluffy shag rug and something glittery will make this room perfect. Now your daughter and her friends will love the room and you can change it as often as you like.
