Its not hard to understand why so many are opting for the newer modern vessel sinks that are seen so often on display in plumbing supply stores or the plumbing department of big building supply chains as well. They just look marvelous and are the envy of the neighborhood.

A vessel sink is designed to sit on the top of counter tops of bathrooms of kitchens rather than sunken into the same. This adds a touch of elegance to the décor of the home. Often times these sinks are placed on the top of beautiful furniture pieces that have been repurposed as counters or may even have been custom built especially for that purpose.

When a vessel sink is installed it is just not complete without a vessel faucet that has been designed to complement the style and glamour of the sink that has been chosen. With the many styles of vessel sinks that are available it naturally must follow that there are just as many faucets to choose from as well. As a matter of fact there are at least 30 or more different vessel faucets on the market today that give the consumer the ability to create the right atmosphere in their kitchens and bathrooms.

Some vessel sink faucets are installed in the counter top at the edge of the sink and others into the wall behind them. The decision on where to place the faucet will depend on the overall look the owner is trying to achieve. After deciding on the placement the next step would be to choose the material the faucet should be made of for the added flavor and overall appearance.

Vessel kitchen faucets can be found made of stone, metal, glass, pewter, nickel finishes and painted. Victorian and Old World styles along with vintage look made of brass, chrome, gold and copper vessel faucets are available as well as custom fabrication. It seems the sky is the limit when it comes to elegance for our sinks
