Adding glass art to the home is one of the simplest, yet most elegant ways to improve your decor. Glass art is relatively affordable when compared to other fine art mediums and with as many artists as there are you’re bound to find the one that’s perfect for you and your home gallery. In this post I want to share some different types of glass art that would be perfect in any home.
Fused glass is commonly used for bowls, plates, jewelry, and wall art. Adding a large glass bowl to an end or entry way table is a great accent that can add lots of color to a room. You can also hang wall art in any room that you like. These pieces are heavier than your traditional paintings, but when anchored to a stud will stay there forever. The best thing about glass art on your walls is that you don’t have to worry about it deteriorating from UV rays, like you do paintings. All it takes to maintain is a quick dusting every once in a while.

Glass vases are also great for the home. They can be as simple or decorated as you like, and would work well as a purely decorative piece or one that you have fresh flowers in. These vases are usually created from molds, but can also be made from hand blown glass.
Stained glass is another common art medium for the home. Most people think of the huge stained glass windows from churches, but these pieces can be made to fit in any window. The best part is that some will have their own frame so they can be leaned in a window instead of having to retrofit the entire thing.
Glass art works perfect in any home, no matter the shaped, size, design, or budget. There is something for everyone and it’s an easy way to give your house the fancy feel it deserves.
